Fresh engine oil being poured

Engine oil is the lifeblood of your vehicle. It keeps hundreds of moving parts lubricated, carries heat away from the engine, and traps dirt before it can cause wear. Over time, oil breaks down and loses its ability to protect.

Follow Your Manufacturer’s Interval

Most modern vehicles using synthetic oil can go between 5,000 and 10,000 miles between changes. Older vehicles or those using conventional oil often need a change closer to every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Your owner’s manual is always the best starting point.

Driving Habits Matter

Frequent short trips, stop-and-go traffic, towing, and extreme temperatures are all considered severe driving conditions. If this sounds like your daily routine, plan for more frequent oil changes.

Signs You Need Fresh Oil

  • The oil change or maintenance light is on

  • Oil looks dark, gritty, or low on the dipstick

  • You hear louder engine noise or ticking

  • You notice an oil smell inside the cabin

Not sure when your last change was? Our technicians will check your oil condition during any visit and recommend the right schedule for your vehicle.
